This year, the North Orange County Gem & Mineral Society helped the City of La Habra with their Day Camp. On Wednesday, they provided classes for children 5 to 7, and on Thursday for children 8 to 12. The classes included:

• Learn about rocks, minerals, and fossils
• Slide show
• Florescent minerals display
• Making a fossil mold
• Making a Cabochon and mounting it
• Making a bracelet
• Sifting through sand for rocks
• Searching for rocks in a tub
