Walton Wright Fee: $75, plus mileage Equipment needed: 2 or 3 standard tables, chair, black or white board. Length of program: Depends on the program, but 1 hour or more. Advance notice needed: At the minimum 1 month, but as much as is possible. Area traveled: Southern California, and others within reason. Programs 1. IDENTIFYING PETRIFIED WOOD - Mr. Wright is the foremost authority on the identification of Petrified Wood in the United States. 2. CONTINENTAL DRIFT / PLATE TECTONICS 3. EVOLUTION OF THE SPECIES Mr. Wright is a botanist/ecologist/geologist, paleobotanist who worked for the U.S. Forest Service. He has also worked for the University of California as a botanist/agronomist. He has been performing as a consultant for various government agencies. When asked about his degrees he sort of chuckled and said he had some but that they were not that important in the whole story, so we will just consider that he has quite a few. Mr. Wright is a busy speaker, and would appreciate as much notice as possible, he was already booked for several three months away when we spoke to him.
