1. EDUCATIONAL TOUCH & ROCK TALK - 1 hour. Janie does this talk at schools but has done it for seniors, rock clubs, preschool and scout groups. She passes the rocks around and let the kids (attendees) touch them. I am a third generation rockhound originally from Montana. This talk is a basic informational talk that goes into the 3 types of rocks, local resources, crystals and more with a section on dinosaurs, which is a favorite with the young ones. I bring my dinosaur egg from China.
2. Beads Around The World - 30-45 minutes. Janie will share her collection explaining about through history & how they are made. Each bead is in a box & labled. She passes them around for examination. Beads from 6000 years ago to today, made of stone, bone, glass, and metal.
3. MOHS Harsness Scale
